The charcoal and wood-fired grill is a centrepiece of the Cala Bonita experience, and contributes hugely to the quality of the menu\u2019s meat and fish dishes. But the hand-crafted cocktails, too, and the wine list has been lovingly curated to complement perfectly each and every dish. A midday brunch leads naturally into into late lunches, which in turn become candle-lit dinners from 8pm. From sun-kissed afternoons to moon-lit evenings, every moment is magical at Cala Bonita \u2013 and diners can stay until 1.30am.<\/span><\/p>\n

A discreet part of the restaurant is open for private dining. Groups of up to thirty can enjoy Petit Bonita\u2019s completely personalised menus. Focus here is on families and relaxation, with chilled-out DJ sets and sofas to relax in. There\u2019s even a very special kids\u2019-only area.<\/span><\/p>\n

That informal ambience doesn\u2019t mean that the food is secondary. The chef here is the Israeli master Haim Cohen, and Chiringuito Blue\u2019s menu is packed with glorious local produce that is brought alive with Middle Eastern flair. The clarity of the restaurant\u2019s flavours, created through an emphasis on pure ingredients and judicious use of herbs and spices, makes for satisfying, memorable meals.\u00a0 <\/span>From chickpeas with homemade tahini to the Greek Tzatziki with warm pita bread, every dish \u2013 and every handcrafted cocktail \u2013 is a must-try. <\/span><\/p>\n

Take Cohen\u2019s version of araies \u2013 a Bedouin dish of chargrilled pita stuffed with herbaceous minced lamb \u2013or his baked fish, pasta, chargrilled free-range chicken for two, or simply his mouth-watering burger: everything is perfect, and there\u2019s a focus on sharing platters, too (though honestly usually two of everything is a good idea!). With numerous vegetarian and vegan options, too, international tastes of all sorts are catered for. <\/span><\/p>\n

In other words, Chiringuito Blue is a place to feel at home. Even the desserts offer complete satisfaction: the tahini-flavour Carpigiani soft serve ice cream machine is especially worth experiencing. With takeaway coffee, juices and pastries also available to enjoy whilst walking the beach, this is a restaurant where you can spend all day.<\/span><\/p>\n
